The 29th of March 2010 suicide bombings took place in two of Moscow's metro stations. 39 people were killed and over 100 seriously injured. The suicide bombings were carried out by two women, the first one 7.56 am at the Lubyanka station, and the second one 8,39 at the Park Kultury station. The women wore explosive belts, and the bombs were activated through an incoming call on their cell phones.
The women who preformed the terror actions was related to an islamic terror group from Chechnya.
